Fast tracking of hidden objects with single-pixel detectors

چکیده
ELECT A fast tracking system is demonstrated that is based on single laser illumination and a few single-pixel single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) detectors that improves on the previous tracking of non-line-of-sight motion by a factor of 300 in laser power. With an average illumination power of only 2 mW, a 15 cm ×15 cm object located up to 2.5 m away is tracked whilst outside of the direct line-of-sight and moving at approximately 6 cm/s.

Picosecond time-resolved imaging using SPAD array cameras
The recent development of 2D arrays of single-photon avalanche diodes (SPAD) has driven the development of applications based on the ability to capture light in motion. Such arrays are composed typically of 32x32 SPAD detectors, each having the ability to detect single photons and measure their time of arrival with a resolution of about 100 ps. Thanks to the single-photon sensitivity and the hi...
متن کاملClassifier-based Contour Tracking for Rigid and Deformable Objects
This paper proposes a machine learning approach to the problem of modelbased contour tracking for rigid or deformable objects. The motion of the target is calculated by tracking its contours in a video sequence. We develop a probabilistic representation of contours that allows robust contour tracking in presence of texture and clutter. We use boosting to train a predictor of the conditional pro...
متن کاملMoving Objects Tracking Using Statistical Models
Object detection plays an important role in successfulness of a wide range of applications that involve images as input data. In this paper we have presented a new approach for background modeling by nonconsecutive frames differencing. Direction and velocity of moving objects have been extracted in order to get an appropriate sequence of frames to perform frame subtraction. Stationary parts of ...

متن کاملResults from a beam test of a prototype PLT diamond pixel telescope
We describe results from a beam test of a telescope consisting of three planes of single-crystal, diamond pixel detectors. This telescope is a prototype for a small-angle luminosity monitor, the Pixel Luminosity Telescope (PLT), for CMS. We recorded the pixel addresses and pulse heights of all pixels over threshold as well as the fast-or signals from all three telescope planes. We present resul...
